What do you do when talented young people in your community are leaving in droves for better job opportunities?

You create those opportunities for them at home. There is a lot to be done in Africa and we’re not going to be able to do it if our best and brightest all leave. So our mission is to work with the world’s most innovative companies to bring exciting jobs to Africa.

West Africa, home to the 5th largest population in the world, and holds the future of over 100 million young people in the palm of its hand. Unemployment is rampant - over 60% to be exact.

Not an obvious destination for outsourcing or recruiting freelance talent, the country is absent from the digital economy, which employs millions of young people in other developing countries. And, as with most societies, women are disproportionately affected by unemployment, even those with graduate and postgraduate degrees. Hugo is changing that. The company empowers young women with the training, tools, and employer access they need to own their futures.
